Our respondent charters outline the standard of commitment that respondents can expect from Statistics New Zealand. If you believe that we have not met the required standard, we would like to know about it and have the opportunity to resolve your complaint.
How to lodge your complaint
To lodge your complaint about Statistics NZ surveys or services, you can email us at surveys@stats.govt.nz or make a complaint using our respondent complaint form (Word, 83KB).
How we will resolve your complaint promptly, fairly, and fully:
- if we cannot resolve your complaint immediately, we will let you know what is happening with it
- we are committed to resolving your complaint within 15 working days
- if we do not resolve the complaint to your satisfaction, you can take your complaint to the Respondent Advocate.
